Under the Hills - Chapter 8I could feel my hair tickling the back of my neck, my eyes slowly opened from my nights rest. I felt two warm fingers slide over the bite on my neck. It stung, but only a little. I realised that I had been sleeping over Kazu's lap the whole night. Had he been awake the whole night taking care of me? Or did he just wake up? I turned my head towards him and smiled.

"Thanks."
He brushed his hand over my face, how could I ever say I didn't like this?

Under the Hills - Chapter 7Kazu's footsteps entered the forest's entrance. He glanced around after walking for a few minutes he guessed that he'd reach the middle. He couldn't see a thing, his eyes hadn't adjusted to the light yet. He focused on a particular shadow, which had just been visible. He realised it was Eiji.

"Where is Aiko?" He yelled up towards Eiji, who had been casually sitting on a thick branch high up in trees, "I told you to look after her."
"She sent me an order from you, why should I trust a little girl?" He smirked as he leaned forward.

I looked around, I heard his voice, "You're back so soon?"
My heart was racing, I got here as fast as I could.
"Kazu- He told me to come here. He wants you to look after me."
Once I said that he looked at me strangely, he opened his mouth, "He said what? That's not like Kazu to say that. He doesn't trust me at all. Not even a little bit. Why would he want me to take care of his girlfriend?"

We were slowly walking through the dark isle, there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Even though it had been bright time of the day, there had been little light at all. Once our eyes adjusted to the darkness we would be all right, but we were vulnerable to wild animals, especially now since we were just adjusting our eyes to the dark light.
